Excessive verge trimming
In the last couple of weeks we've noticed that the council's mowers and strimming vehicles have been cutting much more deeply into the verges than usual.
It's a very worrying sign if it can be interpreted through the wording in their feasibility study that talked about widening the path at every opportunity possible, to gain "early project wins".
Project wins of this sort are not good for the overwintering insects these shrubs contain, or the various birds and animals that use them as a larder throughout the winter. Has anyone else noted this happening? Please get in touch.
