Seeking a win-win solution for cyclists, walkers, and nature on the North Down Coastal Path
ANALYSIS OF PLANNING DOCUMENTS

DAVID JONES LETTER
October 2021
David Jones, champion golfer turned landscape designer, has explored the planning drawings carefully and says the council's "soothing words" about the scheme are misleading.
He describes that to widen the path will require a "clearance corridor" of around 10 metres, damaging the coastal habitats for years to come, causing impacts on the delicate ecological balance that we have no way of measuring, let alone mitigating.
His letter of objection is published on the planning portal, and you may read it here by clicking on the link.
